Bill to expand Alabama’s hate crimes law moves ahead

The Alliance Defense Fund has reported that Alabama now has a bill passed through the Judiciary to include “Sexual Orientation” to their hate crimes offenses. I do not advocate violence, but can this be construed to start silencing the pastures, preachers and even churches to stop preaching against homosexuality?

Will it come to the point that these laws will place Christians in jail for speaking against the homosexual agenda in public places like church, home study groups, or even the public square?

In Canada you can find yourself facing a jail sentence for even writing about it in a public newspaper. Is the next step to create a National Human Rights Office here as they have in Canada?

The law has no provisions to prevent some judge of interpreting it the way he wants and landing some of you in jail. You know if some crazy person can sue McDonald’s for making them fat, some one will get a judge to hear a case of some Church preaching hate.

Is this just another way to include homosexuality in the “Civil Rights Laws”. Just my opinion, but it sounds like closer attempt to silence the Church.
